Yosemite Valley 2005
My parents wanted to go to Yosemite Valley to see all the water falling off the falls there. This year had very high snowfall and now it was melting. So we went up there and first stop (after the tunnel stop) was Bridalveil Falls. From the tunnel we could see the huge mist cloud at the bottom of the falls. We hiked up into that mist and it felt like it was raining, and not a light rain either. We got soaked from that little walk. Next we drove on to park and then walked to Yosemite Falls. It wasn't quite as wet there (probably because we were farther away from the fall). After Yosemite Fall, we went to the Mist Trail and hiked up to Vernal Fall. That was steeper than I remembered. Once we got to where the mist was, again it felt like it was raining. I got soaked again. I made it to the top and rested awhile, then went on down. After that, we went on home. That was a somewhat enjoyable trip. The crowds of people kind of bothered me (event though it was a weekday) and being wet wasn't too much fun (although I wasn't very miserable either). But other than that, I did enjoy that trip.
